Join Katerina in this exclusive 2-day event where you will explore endless inspiration of striking abstract design and create your own personal embroidery projects. You will leave feeling motivated, inspired and having made new friends from all over the world.

Why do you need embroidery? Set goals - the first step to creating your own work!

Choosing your theme. Your inspiration, your examples, your art.
Starting your pieces with your sketches & creative vision.

Choosing your color palette. The basics of choosing a unique palette.
How to mount fabric in an embroidery hoop.
How to bind an embroidery hoop & your materials.

How to thread your needle? Fixing the thread at the beginning of the embroidery and at the end.
Outlining shapes. Get Started Stitching.

How to divide your floss? How to use a needle threader?
You will start stitching with the running stitch - the most basic, yet versatile stitch in embroidery.

Looped Stitches: The Basics. Curvy looped stitches are so much fun to make!
See how to add them to your sampler, one by one.
Looped Stitches + Chaotic stitches.
When the basic shades of your pattern will be done, it's time to move on to applying bright accents by stitching loopy and chaotic stitches.

Why artistic embroidery differs from any other embroidery.

How to achieve the effect of "volume embroidery" without overloading the fabric.

Beadwork. Gain the fundamental skills you'll need for adding beads to your embroidery using a basic seed stitch.

How to transfer your pattern to a piece of fabric. Analysis of basic techniques.
Selection of the most suitable garment for embroidery, attaching it to the fabric.

Wooden embroidery hoop 18-20 cm
Heat Erasable Pen (special pen for fabric, for outlining shapes)
Tapestry needles No 28 (all the needles with big hole will suit perfectly)
Beads (different colors, which participant likes more; 5 or less colors will be enough)
Thread (different colors, which participant likes more; 10-15 colors will be enough)

  • If you withdraw from the trip after making your initial deposit, 50% deposits are non-refundable. If you made a deposit in the full amount 90 days before the event, you are eligible in receiving 50% of it returned.

  • You may purchase traveler's insurance in the event of an unexpected circumstance (death in the family, accident, illness) that would require you cancel your trip.
