Unleashing your Creativity
using Abstract Acrylic Paintings

2-4th NOVEMBER: Aureo Roma is delighted to be hosting the "Unleashing your Creativity using Abstract Acrylic Paintings" travel workshop with internationally-acclaimed Swedish abstract artist Ulla Maria Johanson here in Rome, Italy.

At this workshop the focus is placed on the undemanding and easy-going daily creation process. We will work with a goal to lay the foundation for something that can continue long after returning home and will benefit your career as a working artist. Often our creativity is largely diminished by lack of time, space and inspiration for the great artistic project. Scaling down makes it easier to get started and we can become daily painters. It's also easy to have a small portable home studio where you can start straight away and find time to paint even on your busiest work day. With several small paintings, we will lower the stressful performance requirements and your work can develop with joy and without intense internal criticism. The acrylic paint medium's endless layering abilities and relatively short drying time is a perfect medium to begin this consistent working process. In different exercises, we experiment with color, structure, different brushes and tools. We explore different expressions to give each participant the chance to find and explore what motivates them most. Since inspiration can be found in both the outer and the inner environment, we will have an opportunity given to research & analyze many different places of your daily life.

"A workshop with Ulla Maria Johansson enabled me to finally let go of my performance anxiety - and find the sheer joy of grabbing a paintbrush! Ulla Maria really boosted my creative urge with her enthusiasm and great know how in arts. The workshop included a great variety of creative exercises and techniques that taught me to look at my work from different perspectives and challenged me go grow. I would happily recommend anyone interested in trying out painting to attend one of Ulla Marias workshops!" - Marie Svensson, Stenungsund. Sweden

”Ulla is the most humble person you can think of. She has a way of giving you constructive feedback that never hampers your will to create. I have never felt afraid of feeling stupid when proposing a new idea to Ulla. She doesn’t think that all your ideas are good but she comes with good suggestions to make it better without having a trace of being patronizing.  I know that she has that kind of personality from the beginning but all her studies in coaching to self improvement has probably made that quality even better.” - Ludvig Adielsson, Uddevalla, Sweden
